Fishing
We are in a class by ourselves. We are the only operation with three private lakes (Long Lake, Mud Lake and Square Lake), the ability to diversify with different techniques and such accommodations and equipment on site. Long Lake Adventures has exclusive fishing rights to the 3 lakes guaranteeing that the only people on the lakes are the people staying with us in our cabins.
Our Lakes have a good population of fish and offer the avid fisherman the chance to catch the fish of a lifetime. We have three species of sport fish in any of our 3 lakes, brook trout, lake trout and landlocked salmon.
Long Lake:Long Lake is eleven miles long and one hundred and seventy feet deep in places. Home to some of the largest fish in Atlantic Canada, it has a total of 2252 acres of water.
Long Lake has held provincial records for brook trout (exceeding 7 pounds), lake trout( over 20 lbs) & HUGE landlocked salmon in contention with the world record ( 21 lbs). We are the only lake to hold N.B. provincial records for all three species of game fish, at the same time, for several years running.
Early spring offers tremendous top water action. As the water warms and the fish go deeper, trolling with the aid of downriggers and lead line aid to put your lure down to where the fish are.
Motorboats are permitted on Long Lake.
Mud Lake:Mud Lake is strictly catch and release. There are 2 boats and motors provided for use on this lake. Barbless hooks, lures and flies only and NO Bait is allowed on Mud Lake.
Square Lake:Motorboats are permitted on Square Lake.
We provide a multitude of packages designed to cater to the most experienced lake fisherman (or woman) to the very inexperienced.
Our packages are as follows:-Self sufficient - your own boat, own riggin', own food
-Need a boat? - A boat, motor & gas supplied for an additional fee – these boats are 14' & 16' boats comfortable enough for 2 people to fish out of. The rental of these boats include boat, motor, unlimited gas as well as a fish finder.
Want a guide ? We offer a 3 or 6 night stay as follows:
One day of fishing runs from noon to noon.
This includes your fishing rights on all 3 private lakes, your cabin, all passes necessary to be on the private land as well as all taxes.
3 night stay - min 3 - 6 people
Fully catered. Breakfast in the main lodge, lunch (shore lunch or bagged) , supper back at camp in the main lodge with all the fixins'. Along with delicious meals & comfortable accommodations your guide provides you with a comfortable boat, all tackle & necessary equipment along with ample knowledge of Long Lake. License is included in price
Trips available Monday - Friday only
6 night stay - min 3 - 6 people
Again fully catered, fully guided only for a longer, more relaxing stay. License is included
